Tascon Group launches online business valuation tool

Bank Of America Investment By WTN News • 09/12/05 Madison, Wis. - The Tascon Group has launched the Tascon Business Analyst online, offering Web-based business valuation, deal structuring, financial analysis and job costing.

The Business Analyst is being offered as a licensed software application, and is available at www.thebusinessanalyst.com.

The program is based on a business valuation method developed by Theodore See of Middleton in the 1980s - a system known as the optimization method.

"It is based on the fact that in any given market, there is only one optimum value at which a business or income property can simultaneously support the structured debt service from a hypothetical market sale, pay a market salary to the owner, and pay the owner a market return on his or her investment," See said.

The software is being marketed in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota by Dennis Barnum, president of the RDX Group in Madison, who said, "nothing else on the market is based on the pure numbers" the way The Business Analyst is.

Barnum said the system is targeted toward commercial bankers, business intermediaries and support professionals, and business owners and buyers.
